A four-track release, ‘Together In Sound’ commences with ‘Soon’ which sees the boys create a rich D&B soundscape, brimming with detail and dancefloor energy. Closing things out, the immersive, high-energy sounds of ‘Anything’, a finely crafted cut that sets the tone for the rest of the EP.

Formed in 2013, Northamptonshire duo Sublimit have garnered support from D&B favourites such as Noisia, Macky Gee and Ray Keith, also releasing regularly on the likes of Four Corners, Nu Venture Records and Lethal Impact Recordings. Phadix boasts a similarly prolific back catalogue, with releases on Random Concept Origins, Good4Nothing Records and Pick ‘n’ Mix. They have collaborated regularly throughout their career, most recently on five-track EP ‘Diligence’, out earlier this year.

Launching back in March under the Inperspective Music Group umbrella, Eloisa Records is ‘on a mission to surpass barriers in the D&B scene’ and instil some fresh energy into the scene. The label has since released music from Simon Splice, Duece, Bungle, pyxis and most recently the I Am Eloisa compilation LP.

Regular collaborators, Sublimit and Phadix ensure they bring their A-game for their Eloisa Records debut.

Sydney-based futuristic artist, VNCCII returns with her bass-heavy single ‘I Came I Saw I Conquered’ released alongside gaming-style visuals, out via AWAL

A self-described “21st Century Creative Futurist and Polymath”, VNCCII returns with her new self-produced dance odyssey ‘I Came I Saw I Conquered’ released alongside an immersive music video featuring her Superheroine A.I Cyborg 3D Avatar. Placed in an Unreal Engine virtual environment, the accompanying video showcases VNCCII’s Superheroine Avatar’s combat and ninja moves in order to liberate herself, break out of the game simulation with her ultimate mission to empower and “free the people ”.

The track opens with iconic trumpets and a brass ensemble heralding in a call to arms, and quickly accelerates into a relentless engine-induced roaring bass drop with bass sound design that awakens the senses. We are then stimulated with a raunchy electric guitar solo and then hurled into choppy Neuro Bass sequences before ascending into a euphoric drum & bass synth drop finale.

Speaking about the release, VNCCII says – “When I see my avatar kicking ass in the music video made in Unreal Game Engine, it empowers me to strive for my dreams and to stop at nothing. My spirit and soul are embedded into my digital avatar and the moral choices she makes. I want to show the world that we all have the magic and the inner Superhero within all of us. Empower yourself to empower others. Don’t let anyone hold you back and stop at nothing!”

An Ableton Live School alumni, VNCCII isn’t your typical genre-stricken electronic artist. Over the years, she has crafted a strong authentic vision and fresh sound palette, while striving to push forward both music and cultural boundaries across, blurring the lines between music, gaming, technology and virtual reality. Having received support from the likes of EDM.com, Music Tech, Magnetic Mag, Dancing Astronaut and EARMILK, the new single continues the theme of futuristic SuperHeroine which can also be seen in her singles ‘Dangerous Love’ and ’Take You Higher’, released earlier this year.

Melbourne-born, LA-based producer Mild Minds has unveiled a full remix package for his LP MOOD, out now via Foreign Family Collective and Counter Records.

An eight-track release, MOOD Remixes opens with the glistening synths of lo-fi house breakout star DJ Boring’s fizzing club cut of ‘MOVEMENTS’. The EP continues with fellow Australian prolific producer Kite String Tangle’s hard hitting take onEMBRACER’.

Further highlights include Hidden Spheres’ carefree remix of DOPAMINE’, Foreign Family Collective act Hanz emotive take on ‘OBLIVIOUS’, and Laurence Guy’s breakbeat-utilising edit of ‘VIEWS’.

The record also features three tracks that have already been released as singles, with London-based DJ and producer Throwing Snow crafting a darker, more atmospheric take on WALLS’, Canadian artist Jacques Greene turning DESTINATIONS into an emotive, club-ready jam and Grammy-nominated producer ford. delivering an introspective version of SWIM’.

“Remixes have always been an important part of the musical picture for me. My career in music started with remixing other artists so I’m always intrigued to see how an artist reinterprets a track. Often the new life it can give a track, can turn out even better than the original,” Mild Minds previously explained.

He added, “We were able to lock down remixes by many of the artists I was inspired by while making the original record, which makes it feel like everything has come full circle and really helps to complete the picture that I had for this record.”

Released in March, MOOD was underpinned by the polished brand of ambient electronica that Mild Minds has made his own. The nine-track LP marked the follow-up to SWIM, the Grammy nominated Australian’s first release under the moniker Mild Minds, released in 2018. The Australian also embarked on a three-date North American mini-tour with Tycho pre-COVID, playing shows in Oakland, Santa Cruz and LA earlier this year.

The MOOD remix package sees Mild Minds’ latest album reinterpreted by some of dance music’s most innovative talents.

Electronic hip hop artist John Dole releases song ‘Moving’

Moving, the new single from alternative hip hop and electronic artist John Dole. OUT NOW – via Snide Records

Newcastle based word/beatsmith John Dole continues on his musical exploration of everyday struggles, ignorance and ideas around legacy with his latest single Moving. Fast becoming a prevalent and authentic voice in UK hip hop, Dole’s music is a reflection of his own personal battles:

“Moving is about how little faith I have in my own mind and knowing that ultimately I’m where I’m at because of my own poor decisions.”

Moving opens to paranoia-drenched synth strings, lending a tense and uneasy feel that sets the scene for the bars to come. Dole’s vocals enter alongside hard-hitting percussion which immediately ups the intensity levels further with an itching, fervent energy. The complex overlapping of vocal and electronic textures is testament to Dole’s skill behind the desk as well as the mic.

Moving has already been turning heads before it’s official release, premiering over on BBC Introducing North East with Nick Roberts, whilst also landing Dole Closeup’s Artist Spotlight feature over on IndieCentralMusic.

With regional and national support from the likes of Huw Stephens (Radio 1), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music), Moving follows in the footsteps of earlier releases Rolling and Collective Thoughts as a great addition to one of UK hip hop’s most celebrated underground catalogues of 2020.

Award-winning music producer Felix Cartal releases vibrant song ‘Harmony’

Felix Cartal is renowned for his official remixes for the likes of Selena Gomez, Zedd, Galantis, Dillon Francis, MØ, Ellie Goulding, Diplo, Anne-Marie, Doja Cat as well as Daya and Shallou’s ‘Older’. Today the music producer has dropped a Cartal original called ‘Harmony’ and it is sure to put you in positive spirits after a hectic week.

Stream/Download: ‘Harmony’

POP Music adds, “Felix Cartal has released a new dance song ‘Harmony’, which will surely dance you into the weekend with its colorful basslines and sunny atmospheres that are beaming in the first few seconds of listening.”

Felix Cartal speaks about what the track means to him, “It’s been weird times lately and in weird times I’ve always looked to music to be the answer for how I’m feeling. Often a sad song can be cathartic in the way it helps you feel less alone, like someone understands how you’re feeling too, and I love that feeling. It’s something I strive for often in the music I make. But there is another side of the spectrum, the song that can help lift your spirits rather than reinforce them. ‘Harmony’ is inspired by the pop heroes that shaped the music that I unapologetically loved growing up. Madonna’s “Hung Up”, Britney Spears “Toxic,” Gwen Stefani “What You Waiting For,” these brazen pop bangers that wake you up with nostalgic production that just makes you feel good. Simply put, it’s a song you put on that hopefully makes you feel a bit better than before you listened.”

Electronic duo KREAM collaborate on trap song with Steve Aoki

Norway’s notorious production duo KREAM has steadily been churning out hit after hit since 2016, but today sees the release of the brothers biggest single to date – in the form of a superstar collaboration called “L I E S,” with the 2x GRAMMY-nominated DJ/producer luminary Steve Aoki! The single is out today through Big Beat Records and embodies the sound of both artists. You can hear KREAM’s signature soulful, forward-thinking production style set against the electro-house/trap style (and massive drops!) of Steve Aoki, making for a major collaboration all around.

“Vibes!” says Aoki, “That’s how it all starts for me. Working with KREAM started with a great vocal vibe, and then we built out the song the way it was intended. This one leaves you in a special groove and won’t let you go. Enjoy the ride.”

KREAM shares their excitement for the release: “It’s wild to finally see LIES out in the light! The goal for all three of us was to make something to bang out in the clubs. Although nightlife has changed this year, we are still just as excited for everyone to finally hear LIES. It’s a harder, darker House track all about that moment when you realize someone isn’t who you thought they were.”

Hailing from Bergen, Norway and comprised of brothers Daniel and Markus Slettebakken, KREAM got an early jump on honing their technique, having started producing at a young age and never slowing down. KREAM stands out from the pack due to the true songwriting and musicianship behind their craft, putting an emphasis on using real instruments – their use of pianos, elastic basslines and live percussion are a hallmark of their sound. Originally discovered through their popular remixes, the duo has now eclipsed 400+ million career streams of their own, and their single “Taped Up Heart” reached #21 on Billboard’s Hot/Dance Electronic Chart.

Steve Aoki needs no introduction. The GRAMMY-Nominated DJ/producer has billions of streams and 250+ tour dates per year to his name, with Billboard calling him “one of the most in-demand entertainers in the world.” Aoki has taken on the role of renaissance man over the years; he’s also a fashion designer, author and entrepreneur, not to mention one of the most successful cross-genre artists. Over his career, Aoki has solidified his reputation through dozens of multi-platinum releases, multiple awards, billions of music and video streams and innovative cross-platform projects. At the core of it all, Aoki is a visionary, a road he’s traveled since the humble beginnings of Dim Mak Records, the trendsetting record label, events/lifestyle company and apparel brand he founded in 1996. For over two decades, Dim Mak Records has remained one of the leading independent record labels in modern music, having served as the launch pad for global acts like The Chainsmokers, Bloc Party, The Bloody Beetroots, The Gossip and The Kills, among many others. Just last month, Aoki announced the launch of his new Latin music imprint, Dim Mak En Fuego, with the support of Christian Herrera, co-founder of California reggaeton party Gasolina. The first signed act is Monterrey-based pop-R&B group AQUIHAYAQUIHAY.

With star power like Steve Aoki and KREAM coming together on one massive, hook-laden single – we can’t help but look forward to the day we can hit the clubs again and dance to this. Until then, we’ll be grooving in our living rooms.
